Growing with the Community
To those in need of emergency care, there is little that can substitute for quick, decisive action from skilled professionals. The health system has begun renovations to continue to provide safe, accessible and cost-effective health care of the highest quality – matching the needs of the community.
Bellin Health sees more than 30,000 Emergency Department patients, annually. Community growth and an aging population have contributed to an increased demand. This trend is expected to continue as the nation’s largest generation – Baby Boomers – ages, increasing the likelihood of severe illness and the need for emergency care.
Remodeling the current Emergency Department, built in 1953, is a proactive move to address the expected demand in services. The current facility, while adequate, was not designed to fully support the modern technology of a quality health care facility.
Emergency Services Pavilion Features
When complete, the Emergency Service Pavilion will encompass more than 32,000-square-feet. Nearly all of the footage will be renovated existing space, with a small addition to the existing structure planned. The new patient entrance will directly face Van Buren Street.
This facility will help Bellin Health provide world-class emergency care to patients across Northeast Wisconsin. Features will include:
Sixteen individual patient rooms
KidCare (pediatric emergency care) treatment
Diagnostic suite
Enlarged ambulance bays offering easier access for emergency vehicles
Family lounge and counseling area
Emergency medical services personnel lounge
Centralized nurse’s station

Part of the Community
Bellin Health has a rich history – spanning more than 100 years. Founded by northeast Wisconsin resident Dr. Julius J. Bellin, the health system is an independent, not-for-profit entity – the only one of its kind in Green Bay. Bellin Health is governed by a local board of directors, making decisions in the best interest of those who live and work in this region, and contributing to the communities we serve.
Community support has been instrumental throughout our history and now is no different. To support the continuation of high-quality health care services, please contact The Bellin Foundation. You may also make a donation online.

“Our Roots are here and so is our future. We are stewards of the health and well-being of individuals and families from this community and surrounding region. As the needs of this area grow, there are times when we must expand to continue to provide safe, accessible and cost-effective health care of the highest quality.”
